Come join the Greene County Historical Society for an evening tour of Springfield, Missouri's historic Hazelwood and Temple Israel cemeteries. 
Meet in person on the sidewalk at the front entrance to Hazelwood on Seminole at 6 p.m. Sunday June 26th. We will tour both cemeteries on foot so wear comfortable walking shoes. 
Your guides will be Greene County Historical Society board members John Schmalzbauer, Erin Smither and Mara Cohen Ioannides. 
Tour will focus on:
-Notable people interred in the two cemeteries
-Cemetery history and customs
-Burial customs
Parking: Park inside Hazelwood Cemetery (spread out and don't block major arteries) and walk to sidewalk at Seminole entrance, where we will meet at 6 p.m.
We will conclude around 8 p.m. because Hazelwood closes at sunset (8:37 p.m. on June 26th).
